It comes down to you doing multiple runs, learning more about the metagame from your experiences, but primarily the wiki and forums and eventually your winrate chance will be high enough that you will be able to win despite most RNG rolls.
You could probably replace every roguelike with a quiz of 100 multiple choice questions on game mechanics, and a button that uses your score as the probability to display a 'You Win!' text.
