the 'fomo engagement' mechanics are actually the biggest deterrent for me
addictive bullshit slave-thought patterns of making you think you need to log in once a week to pay your land taxes and refill your generators or else all your cool stuff you wasted hours of your life collecting will vanish into the aether forever
knowing what it is makes me want to be as far as possible from it and i really wish they hadn't done that, i would play the game much more comfortably without the unnecessary anxiety

Hopefully we get to see more faction interaction, and the possibility to carry on using the same planet like DF...
