Drawing tablet is great for Osu where the entire play area fits within the tablet (often with direct 1:1 input too), but in shooters you get to freely spin around, and recentering with a tablet is less consistent than with the mouse because mouse loses tracking almost immediately after you pick it up while stylus keeps tracking on hover by design. Kind of the same issue as gyro, without a second stick to solve it. Tablet gaming is still valid, but it doesn't invalidate mouse, they are fairly comparable in performance and both have their benefits and drawbacks.
The real loser of PC is the keyboard.

I still don't know why this or something like it isn't a fucking thing. Maybe one of those Cyborg things with a mouse but idk. Really needs to get figured out.
I just want a controller that's a Steam Deck without the screen. Shit's perfect, love the touchpads and gyro. Otherwise, DualSense for nostalgia, gyro, and ergo. How the fucking Xbox controllers hand on with no modern tech for the same price I'll never know.

Oh shit I may need that

After the Deck I deeply regret not getting one when it was cheap, but everyone rushed them.
