She isn't, though. She got enough people infected with mofubrain (it's a real medical condition) to sustain high pace of her threads, but that isn't the same as popularity, not to mention that Alice probably can rival her easily in terms of having constant thread up. Popularity is a mixture of how great devotion 2hu ignites with how widespread popularity she has. Reimu is wide and shallow in her appeal, Ran is narrow and deep, neither is truly popular, I would say.

On /jp/ Sanae has the most consistent threads since at least a year out of all playable incident resolvers, getting to bump limit in about a month, with little to no shitposts and interesting discussions. I don't think any other protagonist comes close currently, certainly not Reimu. The question remains if it isn't like Ran, where there is a small amount of autists responsible for the state of Sanae threads, but if anything the last poll suggest otherwise.
