The series wants a second main female character but nobody fits the bill
>Cream is too young and doesn't fit into action adventures
>Blaze lives in another dimension
>Rouge is a sexy anti-heroine that doesn't fit into the regular friend group
>Tikal is dead
>Honey is in classic jail and under AM2 mandates if she is used
>Trip is in classic jail and doesn't have main character pull
>Tangle just is attached at the hip Whisper and a comic character
>Any newer character would feel unearned and out of place being promoted to a main character spot
