My guy, XIV successfully outlasted it's own natural lifespan for the past 3 years now until very recently. Its kind of a miracle that game carried Square-Enix on it's back for so long up until now.
XIII was what damaged the brand. An incoherent moronic story, unlikable obnoxious characters, a near-constant hallway of walking forward for 40 hours, terrible structure and pacing removing party members and adding them, locking character leveling to chapters, terrible enemy variety and game play design that just got tedious after twenty minutes. ... And they thought making two more sequels for it was a smart decision to make. (it wasn't, the sequels sales halved the original's sales BOTH TIMES)

Trvth Nvke:No one, not even the compfags, cares about breeding in Pokémon. Casuals REALLY don't care, and the compfags only care about the battles. You don't see fighting game or MOBA players preping their characters before a competition, no?
So I ask: why does this still exist? Why would someone care about cloning or save scumming? Seriously, Game Freak is the only one who cares about this outdated mechanic.
