My Xbox 360 literally transferred to an Xbox One S without any profile required. It stored it in the cloud, I logged in on the new console, it was set up automatically.

I'm not a member of NSO. I did my full Switch 1 cloud backup. Scarlet, Brilliant Diamond, Legends Arceus , Let's Go Pikachu, and Home saves (including Home's login) all worked. I didn't get any special notifications while doing this, it didn't say "WARNING YOU MUST BE A PAYING CUSTOMER". It gives you one full year from the backup date to pick up the restore on any Switch 2. Pokemon Home doesn't backup save files you mongoloid. I don't pay for Home either.

The thing is, he didn't do a system transfer and tried to conjure up some kind of failure scenario instead of owning up to his incompetence. If you read the guys other comments in the reddit thread, he doesn't even describe how it works properly. There are 2 ways to do the transfer

I already lost all my pokemon with 3ds bank thing because I didn't pay their subscription after the initial period and all my shit got deleted so I learned that lesson early on
Had some cool stuff there too, bred full IV shinies and some event pokemon and whatnot
these systems are completely worthless, just use them to do the transfers and don't rely on them for anything else, dump your saves and archive that instead, there's a million tools for that nowadays
