The Switch 2's been out for2 months, I haven't even beaten bananza yet, do you just not have a life?

First of all, Home only stores your Pokemon, it doesn't store a game's save file, it would have still been lost even if the redditor had saved his Pokemon. Less severe but still very annoying.
Secondly, it's clearly a glitch affecting all non-save cloud since it doesn't happen universally. It's not something you just read up on because it's clearly not intentional. Some people report only a few of those games affected, or all or none. Nintendo just didn't test this properly.
