I would not consider myself chad. I was always a bit muscular, having started lifting in 2013 when I was 13, and I am 5'11 (I turned 25 this month.), but I have also always been a bit fat. (In high school, I was likely somewhere between 20 to 25% body fat.) I was only in high school for two years, freshman and sophomore year, but I recall at least 3 girls, if not 4, and 3 guys who were crushing on me, and I'm not exaggerating. They were displaying a lot of interest in me, and it was obvious to other people. One of them was this really hot tall girl who was on the basketball team. She was barely taller than me at 6'0. She was likely an 8 or 9/10. Maybe I had really good facial genetics. I am an absolute retard for never having asked any of them out. I convinced myself I wouldn't be able to date them due to not having a car, even though I was in walking distance to at least one restaurant I really liked. I was also just thinking earlier today about how one potential date idea could've been to simply walk in the woods around school and where I lived, and I would've gotten a chance to at least make out with one of them in private. (I coincidentally lived in the one small neighborhood that was directly across the school.) Shortly after beginning freshman year shortly after turning 15, I made out with a 24-year-old woman. I with I had sex with her. She actually did end up on the sex offender registry. Anyway, fast forward to today, and I'm likely somewhere between a 3 to 4/10 (due to still being fat) at the age of 25, and had I not met with an escort when I was 18, I would still be a virgin today.

I'm guessing tinder and similar dating apps just made it way easier for chad to get laid, ruining dating (actual dating, not hooking up) for normies in the process. Nearly all the women swipe left for 90 to 95% of the men while nearly all the men, including nearly all the chads, swipe right for 90 to 95% of the women.

These apps have created a society where men seemingly care more about looking looking good for women than the other way around. Decades ago, it was women who cared so much about looking good for men, while men just focused on life. There are way more men today who want to be lean and jacked and get pretty anxious over it than there were in the past, out of fear (likely realistic) that they won't be able to get laid if they don't drastically improve their looks.

It's more of a competitive thing. Some people like to show off that they're in the top 1% in a particular discipline, especially athletes. In most cases, entering the top 1% requires a ton of discipline and hard work, but is still doable (consider genetics). Some people worship money and have the philosophy that if they're doing something that isn't making them money, they're wasting their time. Entering the top 1% in terms of money must be the most difficult top 1% to enter, but the thing that's really fucked up about it is that you can inherit being in the top 1% in terms of money. Coincidentally, my elementary school best friend was born into the top 1%. Thinking about him is what has fueled me to obsess over this topic. It's his father who was the guy who believed that anything you do or learn that doesn't make you money is a waste of time. I started a whole vent thread on him.

You could be an 8/10+ alpha who is a superior male in nearly every aspect, but if you are low income, like you make $40,000 per year, your girl is still likely to cheat on you for beta bucks, essentially whoring herself out. If she's good looking and she's older, like in her mid 20s or possibly even sometimes in her early 20s, she's likely had a wealthier boyfriend before who spoiled her. Fuck, a spoiled girl like that might not even want to date you, preferring the beta bucks. Compared to men, women generally value money more than sex. A lot of women might want to bang you if you're 8/10+, but especially if they're on the more attractive side, like 7 or even 6/10+, they're going to expect a lot more out of you financially. Obviously, if you're ugly, virtually no woman is legitimately going to be sexually attracted to you, so it's always nice to be alpha.
