This is a contributing reason why humanity is fucked. We're slowly sinking into what I call "the infertility soup" of microplastics, PPCPs (ie. drug compounds that end up in drinking water), synthetic fibers, etc. By 2125 virtually all mammalian life will be infertile. By 2225 there will be no humans left on Earth. Probably no birds either.
