First google about undock/dock bookmarks. This is mandatory. Undock bookmarks in trade hubs should be out of grid. It's a rookie mistake to make undock bookmark on grid. Take small frig, put giga mwd, undock, full speed without changing course, activate mwd, come back after 30 minutes.
Always warp to dock bookmark for docking in trade hubs. If you activate autopilot in the warp to dock bookmark you will automatically dock. You can clock on dock manually too.

Basically to be killed you need to be locked.

99% youtube videos and random eve players will tell you that less than 2 sec align time is 100% safe which is not. You may never see hyperlock in your entire life but it exist and you can experience it in Rancer or Ahbazon yourself.
Nothing can catch <1 sec align ship and the only ship that can reach such times is Hecate in a speed mode with max align skill and few faction stabs (costs around ~300mil).

Killboard is full of dead 2s in Ahbazon tho. Not from smarts.
You can always fly to Rancer and ask NovaMoon Enaka to catch you.
