I was totally on board with the continuation as long as they handled it right. But the word I'd use for the continuation is: "disjointed". A bunch of events are occuring, but often not clear why, and they just happen before moving onto new events. I still don't know why Isma vanished for instance, or why the Island blew up like it did.

I get the sense Miura did tell him a rough outline: Griffith shows up, takes Casca away, the island is destroyed, Guts falls into despair, they move to the east have some fights, then an ending sequence. But the connection between events is, as I said, disjointed.

The release also kills any kind of pacing since it's just as bad when Miura was alive. I could totally be on board with a once a month chapter, just to speed things up and finish the series. Instead it's gonna be another decade.

No story is good enough to waste 40 years of your life on. No story. Miura should have finalized the story around 2011.

So the Kushan blame Guts for everything and have decided to just seal him inside of a stone prison and let him starve to death?
How's our boy going to get out of this one?
Do you think he's going to encounter someone/something that was sealed inside of there long ago?
Also is it just me or are Guts' proportions really, really weird recently?
Did he always look like that, or did he only start getting these goofy proportions post-Miura?
