I came to visit my parents this week end. It's always fun to see them, obviously, but the thing is that my mom seems to hate the things I enjoy at the moment and she's disgusted by them. It's getting kind of redundant. Here's the stuff I got going on:
>Planning a trip to North Macedonia
>Getting into frog hunting (for the legs). It's not very popular right now so there is basically no resource on the subject, which makes figuring shit out a part of the fun.
>Currently trying to find crocodile meat. Where I'm from, eating crocodile is a once in a lifetime experience. I got lucky twice (a couple years ago) and 'im trying to find a actual cut of crocodile/gator instead of just fondue slices/cube. Maybe a whole ass gator.
>casually read. It's mostly stuff about history, geography, philosophy and politics.
Whenever I bring up stuff that I do, my mom always react with disgust and then confusion, wondering why the fuck would I do that. I know I have unconventionnal tastes but like come on, can you just be happy for me? I know I'm not her favorite, but I expect a little more enthousiasm/support whenever I'm reaching goals, whatever they maybe. I thought parental support was the free space on my bingo card.
In general, it seems like she only wants me to succed through conventionnal means. Like she wants me to wave a diploma, get a boring cubicle job with a nice title and impregnate immediatly the next women that I meet. I wonder if she would be proud of me if I succeed in a way that doesn't fit norm? Like If my laundromat works, and mined a bit of crypto on the side, enough to subsists and travel around the whole (wherever it's sunny at the moment) would she be proud of me?

This sale seems so soulless, I did get some great deals but it just feels soulless compared to some earlier sale, no minigame or anything like wtf.
