For me it's not even NEEDING to save her, though I'd be happy to try, I just want it to be acknowledged. I fully believe Ceroba is trying to save Kanako by taking Clover's soul, it's not just for the science or whatever. Ceroba should have the drive to find out what happened to her daughter even after Clover dies, if we go off her feeling of Kanako being alive as real and not a random lie she made up on the spot.
