Just went through Undertale Yellow recently, does Zenith Martlet feel like it has poorly conveyed attacks to anyone else? Or is it just a skill issue?

If we're going 1:1 to biblical scapegoats, which is not really likely to go 1:1 but if we do, then the blood of one sacrifice is painted on the other. And there's a real symbolism potential to Susie's bloody hand leaving Ralsei's white fur with blood. Susie not being a goat and all aside, it could mean one has to die and the other has to take the sin (blame?). But it could also be Kris or (you) who is the first sacrifice, with Ralsei taking the blame (Scapegoat).

If the dog family in snowdin is anything to go by, it's a shared custody that is honestly not that bad. The dominant monster in the mixture is something only shown with the Snowdrake fellas since they got to keep Snowy's mom, but who's to say that amalgamates don't just walk around and visit their different relatives, it's less of an extended family and more "woo, more friends".

yeah that pretty much sums up the feeling it keeps giving me. the snake in the dunes does that attack that certainly "telegraphs" when it brings the clay pot up with the warnings but it does it in a way that feels too quick. never was an issue and running around with the silver scarf you shouldnt be low hp but the attacks still feel off.

I guess if I was to make it a neutral ending, you would have to do a Neutral route and then say no to wanting to live with Martlet on top of UG apartments, and instead of Flowey killing her, she just tells you that Asgore probably kill you if you try to fight him and urges you to reconsider. If you say no again, she will respect your decision, albeit with a sad expression and says she will be waiting there if you change your mind.
You then go fight Asgore. More specifically lose to him since you don't get a turn. And then Flowey mocks you and tells you that you need a higher LV if you want to even get a shot at beating him.
Unfortunately, no matter what your level is, you cannot defeat Asgore unless you complete the Genocide/Vengance route

Gerson is a well written character who earned his strength and uses it to make the world (and the story) better. Shu is an obvious self insert used to power trip and and self ship with roba. No one complained about Master Roshi being stronger than Goku in Dragon Ball because it makes sense that he'd be stronger. Look the fucking theme for Deltarune is the inverse of the pacifist route of UT, which is that you aren’t really making a choice so long as the choices have been laid out for you. Having your identity, your control, whether you hurt or help people is irrelevant if it’s done under the pretense that they were decisions given to you rather than ones you decided upon yourself. Kris entire character for the past chapters has been dictated to Susie only through our actions. Ralsei, knowing our control over Kris and knowing the prophecy, is trying to give the best performance he can to avoid following through on the events of the prophecy, which have been heavily implying that he would die in some way. With the added context that the normal route is subverting the prophecy in a way that would most likely lead to destruction (reference the beads in the hospital, seam’s dialogue) means that the only way for Kris to gain any sort of freedom is through secondary means, namely, working with the Knight to gain whatever power there is to dictate the laws of their universe. This will obviously fail, because we need to defeat the Knight in the normal route and have the appearance of a happy ending so that you don’t peak around the edges of the story to realize that the “good end” was really the bad end. And ultimately, power, the power to dictate your own life, your own destiny, is what transcends control, and the only way to gain that is through violence. So weird route being the canon way for Kris to get the freedom he seeks by granting him the power to overcome forces that do not relent and will not relinquish ties directly back into the game-breaking shenanigans of the weird route and the fact that Kris is a video game character being controlled by us.

Chapter 1 susie being a bitch gets counterbalanced by later finding out that she's just a sweetheart that wants friends as simple as it can get. Ch 2 is when she starts to open up and blossom like a flower and chapter 5 will be when the flower withers away. Mighty rich how the wiltering rose imagery on snowgrave would fit Susie better as her fantasy world of adventures and friendship is gonna crash and burn when the gig is up and Kris' deal with the knight goes out
Hell it also helps that Susie is also funny, even if part of it is everyone else being a goofball (namely Lancer).

The only thing i cannot defend on the mary sue allegations is everyone throwing themselves for her, but i think as time passes, it's just something that is in the backburner because Berdly wanting Susie is just him being a tard (and seeing how Noelle had to highlight stuff for the school project means that Berdly isn't exactly what he thinks he is, he's just an insecure kid deep down)

It's an Undertale fangame that isn't just a single boss fight ramped up to 11 or something limited to a single segment of the game. On top of the fact it's also an Undertale fangame that does not take place within the events of the actual Undertale game, meaning that you get to experience a side of the underground that's never before seen, with new characters and stuff.
