I think it would probably be awkward for clover with his whole justice approach, while yes technically theres the "ok but I saved the day" part, clover would have left his friends with a lot of poorly resolved grief in that situation. Im not a fan of the uwu soft bean cries at everything type of writing for clover, but I'd expect him to have some guilt over leaving the main cast behind like that even if "it was the right thing to do". its one thing if he ran off right away to asgore but now he gave his friends the burden of "responsibility" by agreeing to go with them and then backing out. Even if they came to understand his decision that one would hurt in a very specific way

go into yellow understanding that it has some big flaws due to being a fangame and yet still manages to shine in many ways and you may find yourself stuck here with the rest of us.

his spaghetti isn't described in a few negative ways in game, but I think people just glaze past that in favor of "lol papyrus spaget". we get moments like your face scrunching up on trying it, it being called inedible, and the taste being "indescribable". its the thought that counts at least.

having finally played it myself, the ending isn't as bad as a whole as I wanted to say it was. its just very specific moments like roba agreeing to the suicide that are completely botched, but when the plot demands that the game ends with a character being dead its not a terrible concept. Execution is key

this image always gets a laugh out of me.

seeing people talk about the game and discussing the characters got me to finally try the game. I can definitely see the holes in its writing but I can also see that vision that it aims for, there are moments I feel really let down and then other times where Im shocked by the attention to detail.

I have had a good time discussing video games. it felt almost like how discussing video games felt 15 years ago here. theres some autism in this fanbase but I'll gladly embrace the autism for times like this again.
