I actually really like Morrowind but the game is unplayable as a thief build, even worse then later games when it's le stealth archer, and going melee has zero thought or strategy behind it its just chug potions and have better stats. You can't even active block or anything. It's telling that every single person who plays Morrowind either goes full mage build flying over everything and bombing enemies with spells or does a hybrid buff/artifact/potion build to defeat enemies because there are no other playstyles that even work in the game, much less are fun.

Why hasn't a single modder fixed the combat system in 20+ years then? It's shittiness is too baked in to be fixed clearly.
