Indeed. P2 is objectively worse than P1 in every way. There is a reason the sales drop 30-60k each volume.
>No characters with any depth apart from Yoru, who had 100+ chapters of development.
>Main character Denji regressed tremendously and basically lost the brain cell he had in P1
>P1 developed Denji, Makima, Aki, Power, Himeno, and more in fewer chapters.
Take pic related. Feel the spiritual weight of it.
>Denji is staring off into the distance thinking about his new life coming together.
>He just made his first friend after she barfed in his mouth.
>He realized he doesn't just want sex, he wants Makima.
>Himeno finds this boy who rejected her advances, appealing and wants to help him get what he wants.
>We come to see everything Himeno has been through and how much she cares about Aki
>Last we see of Himeno is the falling eye patch.
It doesn't compare. What Fujimoto was doing with 10 chapters, he can't even do with 100 anymore. He explicitly said he wants this to feel like The Big Lebowski, where the reader feels like "What did I just read?". We can't expect any coherent plot to develop to wrap this all up. We need to expect that this will get all wrapped up by some big ass pull and then it will say "End of Part 2."

Reminder that Himeno had more depth in 14 chapters than anyone from Part 2.
>Started off as a bar whore
>Vomited in Denji's mouth
>Took him home and almost took his virginity
>Through her we see Denji's moral depth in that he doesn't simply want to have sex.
>Cooks Denji breakfast and becomes his first real and true friend.
>Offers to help him get Makima.
>Had countless partners die on her.
>Despite that she's still very cheerful and caring.
>Gave up her eye to help protect people.
>Made Aki softer and start smoking.
>Was a good cool person all around.
>One of the realest, if not the realest people in the whole manga.
>Gave her life to protect Aki.
>The last thing we see is her falling eye patch
14 chapters.
What have we got in Part 2 that even comes close?
