Game. The key word is game. Gameplay is king. Devs use stories to cover up the fact that there is no good gameplay in their game.
Press UP for 20 seconds. Now watch this 5 minute long cutscene. Press UP for 32 seconds. Now watch this 6 minute long cutscene. Press UP for 27 seconds. Another lengthy cutscene. Move forward until you reach the next NPC. Here is another long cutscene.
That is not gameplay and it has no business being put into games.
