you know him, though. is a nice enough guy? does he go around trying to hurt anyone? i'm not pecking away to start a fight or anything. i'm just curious. there's a lady in my neighborhood who speaks very little english, but she's super nice. she brings me tamales around xmas time and i give her some of the banana bread i bake. it's comfy knowing food is a universal language. <3

tbh i'm pretty hobbity in that i'm set in my safe and (relatively) comfy ways, but i also long to experience some new things and see how other folks live. it's always a mistake to romanticize other people's cultures like, for instance, hardcore anime fans do japan, but there's a lot to be said for traveling and getting some perspective. i wish i could afford to really do that.
