The way he constantly has his tongue out (>>716498953) just gives me bad vibes like he was characterized by a furry that wants to fuck him/get fucked by him rather than a cartoonist making a funny cartoon animal

Also the change is way too sudden and drastic after so long, you'd expect this to be the treatment for a revival of a character that went unused for 20+ years and needs modernization, DK has basically solidified his look and behavior over the last 30 years in lots of big and popular media, imagine if Sonic only now got the modern treatment and was the classic one for the last 30 years
