Israel is so fucked it's unbelievable and I am enjoying every second of it. Imagine everything in your history converging on a single tech-asymmetric decapitation war on Iran and you fuck it up and beg the US for a ceasefire. And you can't even Round 2 it because you've alienated your western allies so badly that they don't even want to let you use their refueling tankers to strike Iran, AND you were too scared to enter Iranian airspace without full US commitment anyway so you only got standoff strikes in western Iran anyway.
Meanwhile Iran depleted not just your air defenses but the US THAAD reserves to such a degree that INDOPACOM will never let CENTCOM siphon such resources again, so you are strategically isolated, AND Hezbollah didn't even enter the war, AND Iran was practicing strategic restraint to avoid nuclear escalation from history's most schizophrenic crybaby nation, so they didn't even deplete their arsenal substantially. Iranian nuclear latency remains a live issue so Israel can't even claim hollow strategic victory there. The Houthis stood up to US bombardment and the US had to just shrug and pull back.
Normalization is ruined, as everybody views Israel as a narcissist rogue state with farcically maximalist foreign policy aims that will destabilize not just the region but the planet if they are allowed to pursue them. And on top of it all, 650 days into invading the Great Parking Lot of Gaza, they are still getting shaped charges dropped in APCs by Hamas in flipflops, or getting double-tapped in shockingly well-staged ambushes demonstrating intact command structures, while IDF soldiers kill themselves in record numbers to avoid returning to the front and there's a new leak every week to the press talking about how the military will mutiny if Netanyahu even tries to implement his Generalplan Ost foreverwar fantasy.
This is the most kino slow motion implosion of an unmistakable evil in history. There is no way out. Netanyahu's coalition will fracture come November OR he'll escalate in some retarded way that just gets Israel pounded into matzo for no strategic gain again.
