I hate this movie because it had a lot of potential, which was squandered. There's a really interesting movie and series lying in there. The ideas:
>humans finding evidence they were created by ancient aliens
>there's maps to ancient alien world
>put together enormously expensive, extremely long voyage to go meet them
>find out it's been so long, they hate humans now and destroy the expedition
are great and could make for an amazing kino. It just has to place with Alien and was hamstrung by that. Get rid of the barren rock planet and make it a wondrous alien city to explore. Have actual answers in the first movie or at least plan the trilogy thoroughly. Don't make it about angry androids.
