N&B was entirely Rare's fault. Rare did not want to make another banjo game so they tried to do something new and it sucked.
The problem was Microsoft didn't tardwrangle Rare.
Nintendo often gave Rare shit for some decisions but it was "tough love" in a way, and at least the games Rare outputted in the Nintendo 64 days were great
