Exactly. Ben Johnson isn't a stupid man and knew full well what kinda pass defense Washington had, yet still implemented a game plan to spam a bazillion passes against it all day long. Don't matter how good a QB is, that is simply asking for trouble.

Now this might have been understandable if the Lions didn't have a good RB but they have one of the best in the league with Gibbs and he pulled down 7.5 yards per carry and was easily cutting thru Washington's near bottom of the league run defense but he only got 14 carries, yet 11 passes were thrown his way (a career high).

That's NOT an accident.

The arch traitor is a great OC but we'll have to see if he's HC material, which is a lot more than Xs and Os.
