it is mostly aggressive and suicidal but you can see it actually tries to hide behind cover at times, which is big improvement over the previous games
enemies are a mix of waves just coming at you and scripted placements guarding spots, those tend to be trickier
they surprise me sometimes, one enemy threw a smoke grenade to hide itself earlier, probably scripted but that was cool
level design/balance is pretty good, good usage of 3D and verticality, which is something I find lacking in other series
when the levels are more open, the wave retards can also surprise me because it's hard to cover all angles and they just keep coming from all sides

already played too much of it + swat is only close quarters, this has more variety
this series is a bit jankier and goofier but also more... videogamey/puzzle like which I love
