I tried making this demo with linux the other day. Any of you bros have recommendations for drums? I am using hydrogen but it's kind of a clunky workflow.

>what's the state of vr on linux?
steamvr still needs fixing, but mtp latency seems better as of very recently (pending further reverification on tests)
>does steam link, and ovr work?
steam vr link does not have a linux build still, but it was "leaked" like a month ago
OVR Adv Overlay (I assume) has a Linux appimage distributed via Steam or Github, it does work
>what about play space calibrator and vrcft?
I don't use PlayspaceCal but my friend used it under ALVR to get hybrid playspace working just fine
VRCFT also has an Avalonia port that is cross-platform with apparently more features than the original
https://github.com/galister/OpenVR-SpaceCalibrator
https://github.com/dfgHiatus/VRCFaceTracking.Avalonia
check out https://lvra.gitlab.io/ for a bunch of info on other solutions that are alternatives to SteamVR and the typical tools you know such as
>envision to build profiles using monado + opencomposite/xrizer/vapor
>wivrn to replace alvr and use monado stack
>wlx-overlay-s (has playspace mover built in and desktop views)
>motoc (hybrid space calibrator)
>oscavmgr + vrcadvert (vrcft replacement with another piece for sending OSC data to VRC)
the basic gist, at least for wired VR is that SteamVR lacks proper reprojection still (may need to reverify this since mtp was way better in latest test), and that Monado (OpenXR) with OpenComposite/XRizer/VapoR (OpenVR) is the solid replacement you can use to get working reprojection
on wireless reprojection is usualkly offloaded to the hmd so ALVR isn't so bad, but WIVRN is the equivalent replacement for that to avoid SteamVR
