Muh soul aside it's quite a generic looking game, like they took a bunch of store bought assets and threw them all together without thinking it through. RE4 has a more deliberate art direction and the spooky parts are actually spooky instead of just being dark. It completely destroys the remake in sound design too which brings me to how much better the guns feel in og.

perfectly paced, stellar encounter design, arcade-like gameplay (beat-em-up with guns), tons of replayability, strong atmosphere, it's the whole package
