There are plenty of good adaptations still being made, this season in particular has a ton of them
My biggest worry is that I feel like it's been a while since we've gotten a truly impressive anime original, most that seem interesting end up fucking up at the very end

Nagato WAS Pain though, maybe the fight's a little muddy because nine path's is the most busted thing pre-ninja war(and should've been the power ceiling to be honest) and it takes the entire village to stand a chance against it, but still, past that, Naruto has accumulated all the XP of using Sage Mode in combat against the strongest ninja who's ever lived.
Regardless, this says nothing about MS versus Sage Mode.
