I can't comment on H5 unfortunately.
We're all still getting a bit of a feel for the characters right now. We have a young single mother who inherited a spooky bookshop, a PE Teacher, a train conductor and a game-hunter old-money type of character. Right now there's not much more to them than that.
The Town they're in is under the thumb of a Puppeteer Slasher called Red, who has developed (or discovered) a mathematical formula that can predict if somebody will become tainted by the Supernatural. And as a former member of Task Force: Valkyrie, he's culling the herd to eliminate the Supernatural in town. He has a bunch of other Slashers working for him (though they don't know this necessarily), and they're out on the town killing people that Red has selected. Each murder has a hidden clue within it that will lead the PCs to Red if they can piece the puzzle together, but on its own it's meaningless. One person was killed exactly at sun-rise, and died under a window where the Sun would have caught them (this person was going to become a Vampire or Ghoul), a corpse is buried in a graveyard surrounded by an iron fence to stop Fae from stealing the corpse. That sorta thing.
If the PCs don't pay attention to these clues, they'll just find more and more Slashers occurring in town to carry out Red's bidding. But eventually there'll be one obvious clue (I'm thinking an obviously Silver weapon because there's no real way to hide that something is Silver and not have the PCs immediately cotton on to it) that may send them back to old crime scenes to find similar clues.
Currently I have Eleven Slashers prepared, some are more active than others and a few haven't arrived in town just yet. There'll also be some regular monsters thrown in for variety.
Pic related is the town map for the campaign, it's being run online.

What would you like to talk about Vigil anon? I'm preparing to run my first proper campaign outside of one-shots, I've heard that Athletics being removed from Defence is a common house rule, do you have any other pearls of wisdom to share?
