erm EOMM does not exist as I have explained multiple times in this thread over the past few days/weeks. I WILL be accepting apologies as all my arguments have been proven right as of this blog post and all the schizos have been proven wrong.

League esports has never been profitable, they never made any money, not even at peak viewership. You need to realize that popularity and viewership is almost irrelevant to how profitable something is to run, it only matters if you have some way to turn that viewership into money, which esports does not.

>this format of esports has been shown to have more longevity AND keep games alive
Yeah, as hobbies. That's what the OWCS is now, a hobby league. Esports can only grow past this point if it figures out how to actually turn popularity into money, something that has never happened before in the industry and no one has any idea how to do.

You said the matchmaker was pairing losing players with winning players, but what that image says is that players on losing streaks will ideally be placed on teams the matchmaker thinks have a higher chance of winning. This has nothing to do with players who are winning and everything to do with the hidden MMR of both teams.

>go ahead and explain to me how someone who spent the last 3 matches throwing is statistically more likely to be put on a team whos better in the eyes of the MM in an attempt to "balance matches" isnt artificial?
I don't understand what you mean by "artificial", matchmakers are artificial by definition. Organic matches are open servers with no matchmaking at all. Can you explain why this is a problem?
