I mean I did already learn it to my mom's satisfaction lmao, and well enough to understand like 80% or even higher of most Chinese media (although reading? That's another story). At hsk 4 level too (at least per the old test). Am honestly considering trying for higher levels.
But srsly I resent not being able to understand Japanese, language OR culture. It's like I've been handed a better hand than most of y'all anons since at least I'm E Asian... but it's the wrong kind of E Asian
And like I get a complex of thinking I'm better than the rest of y'all since I'm Asian, when really I might as well just be any other Amerifag
