Kris's SOUL being a different "person" than their body doesn't make any fucking sense, that's not how SOULs work. The SOUL is the source of a person's identity and will, Kris's SOUL is Kris.
We didn't start possessing Kris until immediately before the events of the game, which is why people close to Kris (Noelle and Toriel) notice that they're suddenly acting strange. There aren't "two Krises," there's Kris and there's (You).
