journo-creatures already write complaint articles about difficulty and accessibility in the games that exist now. how do you think things would play out if devs made an AI that was just flat out smarter than the average rube? it wouldn't sell.
games already have a TON of handicap mechanics applied to the AI to allow players to engage. things like groups of enemies taking turns, low accuracy, and infrequent or absent plan changing, for example. the secret conceit of vidya is that they perform better the smarter/braver/stronger they make people feel, not how true they make any of those things.

not the original anon you were arguing with but i only accept the in-game canon because that's the only information that has any practical effect in the real world OR the fictional world. it literally doesn't matter whether you take kirkbride's schizo ramblings as true because none of it is in the games. it's not in the plot, not in the dialogues, nothing. it's vestigial information - it has no purpose and as such, no value. if i snapped my fingers right now and it magically all stopped existing, literally nothing would change for anyone.
