Looking back, why was the Alatreon hate train allowed to run for so long? The more time passes the less coherent it seems in retrospect. Why did the prospect of hanging up the raging brachy weapons infuriate so many people? Why did people treat the word "elemental" like an insult? Why did they pretend not to have dozens of ele weapons stockpiled from Safi/Kulve runs? When Alatreon dropped I slapped on Safi armor, upgraded a Safi ice GS and got to slinger bursting no problem. Even then the whole debacle felt dishonest.

Having mass appeal doesn't make something good.
World is an incredible game, Wilds is just "allright". You've done all the content there is in about 40 hours with wilds and there's no challenge whatsoever.
Wilds is still far away from a good game, it needs at least triple the content it currently has, more monsters, more armour sets, more weapons, master rank. It doesn't even have content to strive towards, sure, Artian weapons, but the means to get them is just regular shit.
Rise's anomalies, Primo Malzeno, Risen elders, MHWorld's Safi'Jiiva / Kulve Taroth, Alatreon and Fatalis, there's absolutely none of it in Wilds.
