Oh yeah also that, but while I will admit that is one if not the most pervasive elements to the circus I think it's more of a reminder to both us as an audience and the cast -when they notice-. That their entrapment is not their fault, nor Caine's but some company that neither benefits nor hurts from their absence in the world, your victimhood is just another overseen statistic
