I can name a few from that far back. Though they may not be as many or as obscure as others you know. Off the top of my head, true magic and goblins.
True magic started in 2003, and rebooted in 2008.
It always seemed interesting to me yet updated at a snails pace. But in 2024 or so, the author actually decided that new updates would be prose with pictures rather than fully illustrated so they could update more often and actually finish the comic.
Goblins apparently started a little later in 2005 or so, it's also slowly updating. It's definitely more well known than the other, since its /tg/ material based on D&D 3.5.
