Do you think playing the sword minigames to get the shadow mantle will have consequences later down the line, even in a pacifist playthrough?

The final prophecy is going to go along the lines of "The world of darkness will be sealed, and its existence forgotten" and here's why I think so:
>Susie's lines about her, Kris or especially Ralsei not letting that happen would make sense in the context of forgetting it all happened, along with her trying to laugh it off as absurd
>Ralsei treated himself and other darkners as objects or toys because he was convinced they would just be thrown away and forgotten later
>he tries to push everyone to have fun and enjoy the adventure because he believed it was just a fleeting thing to them
>perfectly fits with the whole theme of escapism
>main theme of the game is literally called "Don't Forget"
I'm willing to bet that the normal ending of the game will be fulfilling the prophecy and sealing off the dark world, I don't know what the true ending or the weird route ending will be though.
