I don't get this complaint. Nobody is expecting the company to maintain the matchmaking and integrity of a game after sunsetting it. They're just giving it to players so they can do what they want with it, like playing with 3 or 4 friends.

I'm speaking out of my ass with zero knowledge on this, but surely the solution to this is to change modern practices to fit this new modern problem?
Halo 5 got ported to PC, but they didn't bother to add matchmaking, just a player server browser. I had the instinct that this was a lazy port, and that matchmaking with the server was much more complicated than just throwing up a server browser. I wonder what services would be required to ship with the server browser that make it impossible? You wouldn't need anti-cheat (eg)

I don't think there's a single service indie game worth playing. I know literally none of them. I'd happily sacrifice those indie service games to stop actual developers and actual game studios from having their publisher rape my games.

What Warhammer game(s) should someone who wants to get into the Universe start with? I'm into mostly any gente, not a huge fan of turn based stuff but it's not a deal breaker either
