I have a master level 99 on Asura on Retail and I essentially gave up and went back to private servers like Horizon. Retail XI is really awful.
Horizon is slow as shit admittedly as well. Getting to a camp sometimes requires 10-30 mins. Then you are EXPing for 3 hours to get one level. Dont even get me started on how shitty it is without a BRD. Even if everyone has capped weapons and using sole sushi, there is still tons of missing attacks. Without a BRD parties full genuinely awful sometimes.
That said, I did all the HNM shit back in 2005 and I finished all the stories and expansions on my retail character. I spend most of my time on Horizon just fishing and levelling crafts to make gil for fun. I haven't even done the first limit break quest. I have like 6 level 50s currently and I enjoy playing new jobs. Probably wont even go beyond level 50 because I know the grind after 55 is terribly slow.
But still, Classic > Retail

Is it possible to be autistic and not even realise? Like I'm hopeless when it comes to jobs but I can have a pint down at the pub and chat with people.
