The Quran doesn't even say "trinity". It just says "Don't say three"
>O People of the Book, do not exaggerate in your religion and do not speak against Allah, except the truth. Surely the Christ ‘Isā, son of Mary, is only a messenger of Allah and his word, which he cast to Mary, and a spirit from him. So believe in Allah and his messengers, and do not say, "Three." Cease; it is better for you. Surely Allah is only one god.
Three what? Is the Quran saying that the "trinity" is three gods? It doesn't understand the position. And who is the three in question?
5:116
>And when Allah said, "O ‘Isā, son of Mary, did you say to the people, 'Take me and my mother as two gods, other than Allah'?"
So is the "Three" in the Quran, Allah, ‘Isā, and Mary? Even the Quran wants to make it a point Mary was just a human.
5:75
>The Christ, son of Mary, is nothing except a messenger; indeed, other messengers have gone before him, and his mother is a (righteous person) They were eating the food. Look at how we show the verses to them, then look at how they turn away!
And just as a side tangent what does the Quran mean "Look at how we show the verses to them, then look at how they turn away!"
What verses? The Quran was reveled to Mohammad. How is the Quran saying it was possible when only Mohammad had the revelation of the Quran, and the Quran was written after his death. So this makes no sense.
The polemic in the Quran against Christianity is baffling, as if I were to address Islam by refuting them with Baha'i scripture.
