I will. When you descend into your own rotor wash the air gets sucked back into the rotors making the vortex ring. The helicopter churning up the same air you already pushed means you have no lift anymore and will fall out of the sky. You don't have to be moving forward though. You can move in any direction while descending or descend straight down slowly enough. If you are in vortex ring then the first thing you'll need to do is lower your collective and then fly out of your vortex ring, since higher collective is just feeding energy to the vortex that will kill you. Once you're out of the vortex you can bring collective back up. Also if you get hit by the vortex at low altitude then you're just dead probably.

Get behind the ship and line up your velocity vector with it. As you approach you'll need to pitch up to drop speed, make sure to drop your collective when pitching up to avoid gaining altitude. Once you've matched speeds you just need very fine movements to position yourself, and then land. The main things usually with whatever you're doing is small cyclic movements and keeping an eye on the velocity vector.
