Wrong
JJK was immediately popular
Volume 1 debuted at just under 30k sales, which is good, and it was breaking 100k by Volume 3, far more impressive than what KnY made pre-anime
JJK never needed any handholding the same way KnY needed Ufotable and the pandemic
Even with all these veteran mangaka like Togashi and Akimoto shilling it, it never made any significant progress in sales or popularity. The anime was pretty much its final chance to improve sales because the manga as a standalone product isn't good

>JJK benefitted from everyone and their mother picking up kimetsu and checking out other jump series as it was ending.
Wrong again, cuck. JJK's 1st volume sold almost 30K and it was breaking 100k by volume 3, all of this happened before the anime and before Ufotable picked up DS. It was immediately popular.
DS's 1st volume barely made 13k in its first week and took 3 years, an anime, and a pandemic to break 300k. The pre-anime numbers speak for themselves. JJK was building natural momentum well before the anime while DS needed external help to even sell 300K copies after going unnoticed for 3 years. JJK didn't need DS to save it on anything like DS needed Ufotable to save it.
