>You're not being barred out anything, just being told to go somewhere else.
When it comes to PC games, being blocked from Steam is a mortal blow to sales potential already. Tokyo Clanpool is a game that went through three different storefronts (Nintendo, Steam, and GOG) and got banned or censored by all three of them. The publishers have said they have no hope of the game succeeding because of its heavily restricted release and can only hope for it to break even. This is a Vita game with no actual explicit content even uncensored. There is no clearer cut case of censorship than this, and no clearer argument to me that stores like Steam should have strict regulations on what they can block from sale since they are de facto gatekeepers of the PC marketplace and publishers rely on them to be able to access the whole PC market. Anything that gets blocked from just Steam, let alone other storefronts, is being unfairly denied an even playing field in the marketplace and this is a problem that needs to be addressed as an imminent free speech issue. On what grounds do these devs deserve to be locked out of 90% of their potential sales just because Steam, GOG or a random payment processor didn't like what they were selling?

So then why are the games that do still have them... not being allowed to have them? While previous games with them are still being sold uncensored on the e-shops?
