i just think it ties into that recency bias that people have & don't even possess enough self awareness to confront and deal with.
its like old people complaining about Gen Z (like me) not wanting to work or whatever, its just a different flavoring of the same shallow cynicism which we can now observe taking place in multiple centuries https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dC3kBsRpkZQ
at the same time i could see this as partly to blame.
when people can, now more easily than ever, go on YouTube and view HD footage of people just living life in the 70s, the 80s, it gives them a sense of longing because its easier to view the past with simplicity & as a more joyous time.
anyway i hope i can dress Lucia in dark clothes with a choker and give her pink hair so she can be my Egirl sidekick.
