You're saying a Sega Rally game sucks and I don't know why.

For me Gamecube is on the bottom when compared to the 3 other 6th gen consoles. It was also the first one I got into when I started getting back into consoles with a modded Wii. The reason I started with it was because of the pressure from /v/, that it was a great console and worth spending time on. I found it didn't really satisfy and whenever I tried to discuss flaws in games the discussion would immediately be derailed by obtuse shitposting. Lost interest in trying to be fair a long time ago.
>the gamecube has its own hidden gems and fun games worth experiencing
Totally agree, and not even that obscure of games either. Games like Battalion Wars which I think I've seen less than 5 threads on in the past 15 years. Rogue Squadron is a pretty good game with a decent level of challenge being the main draw. The other more obtuse titles like Odama, PN03, Gotcha Force etc etc were really underwhelming to me. I did discover Kururin Squash a few years ago after a friend got into the GBA game and that was a pleasant surprise.
>any place you would suggest buying a retrolink from
I bought it from the creators website years ago, https://www.retrotink.com/shop/retrotink-5x-pro it's pricy but a great way to hook up any old console. When I bought it cash was a little tight so I did the pay in installments thing which was about $80 every month for a few months.

fat PS3s can be loud if they're running hot. That's about it. They do have a gigantic fan.

I am always impressed by PS3 guys who got a PS3 and never stopped playing PS3. They exist and there's a lot of them. They still keep it up to this day. I like the PS3 but they love it.
