You're right in the sense that something being popular doesn't inherently make it good. But something can be good and also be popular. This is where the /v/tard struggles. The people on this board avoid anything remotely popular like the plague because "I'm not a normie! If it is popular it must be pandering to the lowest common denominator therefore it is trash! I am a free thinking individual!"
Well, the issue with your eternal contrarianism is that you have come full circle and you are know being told what to like or dislike based on how popular it is. Except it is the reverse of the normie outlook on popularity. All of you contrarians are JUST as bad as those "NPC slop lovers" you guys despise so much, and for the exact same reason. You both blindly follow the trend of what is popular, your response to that trend is just different. If anything you contrarians are worse than the NPC slop lover because you are a self-righteous jerk and they just enjoy whatever it is they enjoy.

Baseless contrarianism is the most dimwitted ideology a person could ever hold. Your life is an endless cycle of misery and hatred. You will die alone, bitter and remorseful.

Not all black people are n|ggers, and not all n|ggers are black. It's a mindset more than a skin color. Same thing with faggots. The majority of faggots I encounter on a daily basis are straight men. And the overwhelming majority of gay people that I know are actually awesome, normal people. Not fags at all.
