If I remember correctly, it’s also based on LISA: The Pointless, so you have skills you can select from in between battles, status effects on enemy Monsters, combo dials for offensive skills, and more. There’s even a Deltarune Tension Point system, renamed the Bravery Point system, and you need a certain amount of BP to preform certain skills. I really hope it actually comes out sooner than later, and doesn’t take 7 years like Yellow.
