The midrange abyss deck has a fairly honest win condition of trying to be the last one standing with a threat on the board and evo points at the ready. It has several ways to answer threats without investing evo points, and has enough healing to pull themselves up above the storm damage swings that some decks depend on to deliver the final blow. Sometimes Cerberus plus some ghosts can sprint some damage through for the win out of hand, but oftentimes it just exhausts the enemy and they fall apart to a medusa or olivia+ceres double super evo that they just can't finish clearing.

It's kind of fun watching puppet portal sit there and realize that Orchis can't push enough damage through even with Liam on deck for a follow up. Or artificat portal realizing that the gundam isn't enough to secure a win anymore. Rune can be a problem depending on what they accomplish with their Dclimbs.

Aggro dragon and sword can be an issue depending on how well they maintain tempo. You desperately want an early ding-dong and ceres to staunch the bleeding before they can build up too much pressure.
