How forgiving is the ranked system in this game? I noticed that a loss isn't automatically a loss of rating. At the very least down in Emerald. Is it still possible to climb in the higher ranks even if you loose the match, depending on your performance?

rune is dragon but it's not up to your luck if you even get the cards you need to win since you should be doing 20 extra draws, and the actual high value cards from rune are just outright better than dragon's. Garyu is objectively inferior to Kuon.

Your group on the other hand goes up and down and determines matchmaking so that's important.

Finally once you hit master (everyone who plays consistently will), the system switches to master points and it's business as usual with typical point gains and losses.
